Lorenzo Musetti has no doubts when asked who is the greatest of all time: Roger Federer. The Italian tennis player has a ready answer, as he has already pointed out in previous interviews or statements.
In an interview with GioJournal, he said: “For me, Roger Federer is the greatest tennis player of all time. He was a source of inspiration for metoo bad I never had the chance to compete against him.” Musetti’s big rise actually coincided with the temporary halt of the 20-time Grand Slam champion in tennis due to his physical problems: a non-temporary halt, since the Swiss then decided to retire from last year’s Laver Cup with no real return to the tennis circuit.
On the women’s side of the circle, the answer to who the toughest opponent is is simple: “Serena Williams, she is the greatest tennis player of all time to compete against”.
Musetti said he wants to be number one in the world.
In terms of dreams, Lorenzo Musetti doesn’t go far from what all tennis players on the circuit want.
Musetti explained: “My dream is to be number one in the world and win as many Grand Slams as possible.” Nothing would change in tennis, in which he aspires to win and become the best of all, because his proposed change has already come true: it is about the coaching introduced by the ATP between 2022 and 2023.
The one with Federer was a message he had already sent during an interview with ESPN: “Roger Federer is really special, as is my all-time favorite player. He’s an inspiration to the lads not just for what he does on the field has done.
