Loreen is exhausted after a very long evening and a somewhat hoped-for victory, given that she was the bookmakers’ favourite: “It’s wonderful and I certainly won’t settle for two Eurovision titles as long as they let me participate… of course, the competition is all in these cases. But the important thing is creativity. That can never be missing.” And what is the difference between the success in 2012 and this one? “Euphoria was a more mysterious performance, Tattoo instead it is a much more open, clear work. Self Euphoria it was song in the moonlight, this time we are in full light”.

The 39-year-old Swedish singer, born of Moroccan Berber parents near Stockholm, activist for human and civil rights, proudly bisexual and who has already sung and embodied a modern Joan of Arc, goes deeper: “Creativity for me is spirituality as well as something magical. Just think of John Lennon to understand what he means… ”. The very long Edward Scissorhands-style nails have the same motivation: “It’s my hands that move, they give me energy and it’s also something spiritual”.

“And then for me the public is everything”, continues Loreen, “when I’m alone I can even cry. But when the fans are there and you are there, I focus and I feel only positive emotions on stage”. But what is the secret of having won twice at Eurovision? “Be authentic. Listen to yourself and take a step back. But the most important thing is to be yourself.” And so Loreen decides to sing Tattoo with all of us. The most beautiful ending of this unrepeatable Eurovision.
