Lordy’s Paris Club: A Taste of London, Paris, and New York in the Heart of the 16th District

Do you dream of traveling to New-York ? Or, a little closer to Paris, has London ? Well thanks to this address of 16th district, you will not need to take the plane or the train! Exit the Channel Tunnel, hello line 6 tunnels, stop Boissiere, for a stay between these two influential cities in the heart of the beautiful districts of Paris.

A story between London, Paris, and New York

Nestled in the heart of the Sofitel Paris Baltimore Eiffel Tower, the Lordy’s Paris Club opened only a few months ago, and has already found its regulars – us. Legend has it that a certain Lord Baltimore, great London businessman from the beginning of the 20th century, fell under the spell of this Haussmann building a stone’s throw from the famous tour Eiffel and decides to put his suitcases there. It was then that he began to share his travel memories between Paris, London, et New-York and that, little by little, the place borrows from these three cities for a delicate mixture both in terms of decoration what of cuisine.

A refined and intimate decor

So, when we enter this Franco-English lair, the first thing jumps out at us: the Orange color – instead cognac – is nicely omnipresent and brings a softness to the restaurant. The dim lights make it stand out more and give the restaurant a wonderful intimate atmosphere. In particular, the Lordy’s Paris Club reflects the British chic of club house and the magnitude of Parisian aesthetics. A perfect blend of two very distinct atmospheres. An overall minimalist decoration but where every detail has been carefully thought out. We can thank the interior designer Michael Malapert for having created such a sweet and precious atmosphere. Our seats, in different materials, sit in the general tones: off-white, brown, ocher. On the walls, the souvenirs travel Lord Baltimore organized in the wall bookcases in wood: books, portraits, world maps… We almost want to leaf through them. And above all, we will notice the few details in the shape of chien, surely our friend’s totem animal Lord Baltimore, who follows us everywhere restaurant.

A cuisine at the crossroads of three countries

And then, after admiring the soul of the restaurant, we sit down at a table and open the menu. A journey so much across the Channel and across the Atlantic awaits us, with some French touches. As a starter, we let ourselves be tempted by Lord’s cooked egg : an egg with sautéed mushrooms and to the parmesan cream. A real delight from the first spoon. And, as a main course, we are offered a delicate and delicious world tour. Between the Fish & Chips and the poultry, we instead decided to take the Very British Piea pie mushrooms and to caramelized onions. Tasty, crunchy, perfectly seasoned thanks in particular to its parsley sauce… What else can I say except that each bite was delicious and transported us to the country of the Beatles and Lady Di. Finally, to finish, we played greedy and ordered a Apple Tart subtle and delicious but also choux with praline chocolate and their dark chocolate sauce for a return to Paris. After these exquisite dishes, we can only thank the chef Yassine Riah who shares his passion and optimism right through to our table.
