Lorca’s ‘New York’ bar is closed, where a birthday was celebrated with 100 guests | Radio Murcia

The autonomous community and the city of Lorca have ordered in separate administrative files the closure of the bar “New York”, in which on August 30 a birthday was celebrated with 100 guests in breach of the restrictions and health safety regulations against the coronavirus.

It was confirmed this Tuesday by the mayor, Diego José Mateos, who pointed out that the closure order was notified on Monday to the owners of the premises, which is located in Plaza Real, in the heart of the city, in front of the Pilar municipal library. Barnes.

The closure takes place a week after the events, since the file of the regional Public Health service has been joined by another municipal one from the Urban Planning Department.

As indicated by this closure order, it is added to that of the Darfary’s grill, located in the district of Campillo, in which at dawn last Sunday the Local Police also had to intervene to dissolve a party with karaoke and a dance floor with another hundred participants.

Mateos has said that “there are issues that cannot be ignored, they are non-compliances of a very serious nature” to which the administrations will be “implacable.”

The mayor hopes that these local closings will be the last “because it will be a sign that everyone, establishments and customers”, are complying with security measures against the spread of the coronavirus.

The mayor has stressed that “the hotel industry in Lorca is safe and 99 percent of the hoteliers are complying” with the restrictions and security measures.
