Jennifer Lopez made a touching confession. She spoke for the first time about her separation from her husband Ben Affleck.
The singer opened up to comedian Nicky Glazer for Interview Magazine, where JLo admitted that “her whole world exploded‘ following the release of her musical film ‘This Is Me… Now: A Love Story’, which has seen her love story with Ben take center stage.
Although Jennifer does not name Ben directlyshe hinted at what caused the collapse of her marriage. “You have to be complete as a person if you want to have something that is complete.” The star says she believed it was achieved harmony with herselfbut this summer she found out exactly the opposite.
“I had to get out of my comfort zone and be alone. I wanted to prove to myself that I could achieve this, to be complete.”
JLo also shared that she felt a mix of strong emotions after the breakup – fear, sadness and despair.
“Being in a relationship doesn’t define me as a person. I cannot look for happiness in other people. I have to find happiness within myself.”
At this stage, Lopez has no intention of looking for another man in her life and shares that she is at a stage where she wants to focus entirely on herself.
