In an interview with “Lebanon Debate,” Khneisser said: “As of noon tomorrow, Saturday, the activity of the subtropical high will decline in the eastern basin of the Mediterranean Sea, and atmospheric pressure values ​​will begin to decrease to reach 1002 hpa over Lebanon and 998 hpa over northern Syria in the middle of next week, which will… It will enhance wind activity and the concentration of a depression in the region.”

He pointed out that “the first depression will be quickly effective, and will form north of the Red Sea and Cairo, and will gradually head toward Palestine, Jordan, and Lebanon during the hours of Sunday afternoon, and scattered rain will fall between Sunday afternoon and Monday morning, and will be heavy in some places, especially the central part of the country, and will be accompanied by rain.” Thunderstorms by 15%.”

He added, “The second depression is deviating from Italy towards Greece and western Turkey to settle over the coasts of Syria, Lebanon, and the western mountains, and will penetrate the Bekaa with heavy rains that will be a deluge on the coast, which will affect the lion’s share. There is a risk that torrents and floods will form on the coast between Tuesday and Wednesday.”

He pointed out that “the weather will be accompanied by 90% thunderstorms and lightning, and wind speeds reaching 75 km per hour. Snow will also fall above 2,200 meters in the north, between Wednesday and Thursday, and the percentage of snow accumulations will be excellent above 2,600 metres, with the rain gradually subsiding on Thursday.”

Khneisser concluded by emphasizing that “the second part of November is the beginning of the actual winter in the region. Lebanon is experiencing torrential depressions, falling temperatures and snow on the mountains, and it will be accompanied by winds and thunderstorms, so prepare for a cold, harsh and good winter.”

It is reported that “temperatures on the coast are 28 days and 23 nights, in the Bekaa: 25 days and 17 nights, on the mountains 1200 meters: 24 days and 16 nights, on the mountains 2000 meters: 19 days and 07 nights, and the winds are warm northeasterly.” Its speed is 10 km per hour, sometimes reaching 15 km per hour.
