A case of plagiarism at Euro 2020? For the people of social media, one would say yes. We are the People, the official song of the Europeans resulting from the collaboration between Martin Garrix and the couple Bono Vox / The Edge of U2, reminded many of the riff of Ringo Starr, the Italian hit of the Nuclear Tactical Penguins, brought by the group to Sanremo 2020. A similarity, quite objective in comparing the songs, ironically underlined also by the frontman of the band: “Call me the Alban of Albino”, in reference to the famous controversy between the singer from Cellino San Marco and Michael Jackson.
