Florence Schelling is the new sports director of CP Berne. She has no shortage of ambitions
Ice hockey »On Wednesday, the microcosm of Swiss ice hockey was somewhat shaken by the appointment of Florence Schelling as sports director of the champion club of Switzerland. The first woman to obtain this position, the Zurich woman is impatient to start her new life.
When you called CP Bern, did you know right away that you wanted the job?
Florence Schelling: When I got the call from Marc Lüthi (the Bernese CEO) about two weeks ago, I was very, very surprised. I didn’t expect that at all. We had a very good conversation on the phone. Discussions then continued with Rolf Bachmann (head of the operations sector). We discussed the important points of a possible collaboration. The discussions were very positive. I felt extreme support and confidence. This is why I quickly knew that I was impatient to take up this challenge.
