This year, the festival took place over two days, on July 15 and 16, moving from Salacgriva, which is familiar to many, to the capital Riga. This time, the musical highlight of the festival was current hip-hop music, and world rap superstars Megan Thee Stallion and A$AP Rocky were in honor of the main artists of “Positivus”. You could also listen to such artists as Bas, Thundercat, Jamie xx, “black midi”, “The Avalanches” and many others on the “Positivus” stage. In the festival program, you could also meet many domestic artists – the rapper Ansis took to the main stage of the festival, but on other stages you could enjoy Edavārdus, Arturas Skutelis, Buu, and the bands “Tribes of the City”, Citi zēnii, “Sigma”, ” Nova Koma” and other performances.
However, when it comes to matters of style and fashion, it is not so easy to name a single accent. Taking into account the rapid change of weather, the choice of outfits was as varied as the woodpecker’s belly – while some were walking around in mini skirts, others protected themselves from the rain under stylish trench coats or original headdresses. A separate top could be given to sunglasses, which, simply speaking, are often used only for beauty.
The selection of shoes also varied from very practical to more sophisticated. A large part chose to succeed in the company of boots, sneakers and boots, but there were also those who left home in comfortable “crooks”. Of course, we couldn’t do without the glitters and shines characteristic of festivals, which decorated both the ladies’ hair and individual parts of the body.
Given that festivals are a place to express yourself creatively and to your heart’s content, style boundaries are hard to draw. What is a style sin for one, is the truest fashion for another!
