▶About three hours before Rep. Park Soo-young’s Facebook post, Rep. Han Joon-ho of the Democratic Party of Korea appeared on MBC News and mentioned Rep. Park Soo-young and mentioned the controversy.
Rep. Han Joon-ho said, “Representative Park Soo-young of the People Power Party made a lot of arguments to let people know that this was a doctored photo when he uploaded a photo of 10 people with 4 people, and even though these are direct stories, it is more accurate to say this. “There was no mention of ‘he played golf or not’, but the court judged this as if he had refuted that he did not play golf.” The host raised the issue, saying, “Representative Jae-myung Lee’s remarks and Is “I made a judgment about something else, so it was a wrong decision.”
Representative Han Joon-ho then said, “To be exact, Rep. Park Soo-young of the People Power Party posted on his SNS a photo of 10 people taken on an overseas business trip, and only 4 people were taken on an overseas business trip. Don’t usually 4 people play golf? Only the 4 people part was taken out, and Representative Lee Jae-myung was there. There was a suspicion that he was playing golf because the hat he was wearing had something like a ball marker on it, and he never clearly said ‘he played golf or not’, but Channel A “When he went on air, he made a strong argument that ‘the photo itself was manipulated,’” he explained in relation to CEO Lee Jae-myung’s charge of ‘publishing false facts’ in this trial.

I have contacts who can corroborate the local resident’s story and confirm that the golf outing took place during the trip in question. I find it crucial to hold public officials accountable, and this evidence backs up the concerns raised by the community.
Q:
As a web editor, I am interested in understanding the backstory behind the controversy surrounding the alleged golf outing during a business trip. Can you provide me with some more information on how this news piece came to light and what motivated you to share it on your Facebook page, Representative Park Soo-young?
Guest 1:
Well, the news piece came to light during the trial of violation of the Public Official Election Act where it was revealed that Democratic Party of Korea’s presidential candidate, Lee Jae-myeong, had taken a golf trip during a business trip to Australia and New Zealand in 2015 while he was still the mayor of Seongnam. This fact was denied by Mr. Lee but later proven to be true. As for me, I shared this on my Facebook page because I received a tip from a local resident who claimed to have seen the then-mayor playing golf during the trip. I thought it was important for the public to be aware of any potential wrongdoing by public officials.
Q:
Guest 2, as a representative of the Democratic Party, what is your perspective on this controversy? Why do you believe that Representative Park Soo-young released this information on his Facebook page?
Guest 2:
As for my perspective, I believe that this controversy is a result of misinformation and political manipulation by the opposition party. The fact that Mr. Lee went on a golfing trip during a business trip was never hidden or denied, but rather it was used out of context to discredit him. I think Representative Park Soo-young released this information on his Facebook page as part of a smear campaign against the Democratic Party and its candidates.
Q:
Guest 1, do you have any evidence to support your claims about the golf outing during the business trip? Can you tell us more about the local golf course and photo spot that you have mentioned in your post?
Guest 1:
Yes, I do have evidence to support my claims. I received a Google Map image from a local resident who provided me with directions and locations of the golf course and photo spot where Mr. Lee, Mr. Yoo, and Mr. Kim were allegedly playing golf. The map also shows a “ball marker” which is often associated with golf. Furthermore,
