It all started for the 38-year-old during a visit to, you guessed it, Ikea, where an employee commented that she is an awful lot like Meghan. “After a little while later an article about me appeared in the newspaper, I was inundated. Offers for odd jobs poured in. From royal themed parties to public performances, promotions and TV appearances. It became a madhouse,” she tells Closer Magazine.
Sarah herself is also a fan of the former Duchess: “I admire her for her strong character, her genuine love for Harry and her warmth and kindness to the public, the community and the children.”
When the Suitsactress got engaged to Harry, it went all the way out for Sarah. She received so many requests that she considered quitting her regular job. She says she ‘had no idea’ that you can make money from looking like someone.

But then came the disastrous Oprah interview. Meghan makes harsh statements about the royal family: she accuses them, among other things, of racist statements and claims that she received no support from the palace when she was struggling with suicidal thoughts. The country shook to its foundations and the actress was hit hard. Meghan would have betrayed their royal family and ‘started a war’.

Immediately after the interview, the hate reactions began to intensify towards Sarah as well. That already started when Harry and Meghan left the royal family, but the interview added a lot to that. “Those people who think Meghan is fighting the royals can’t reach her and so they use me as a punching bag,” she says. “I would seek attention and they say I should be ashamed to ‘represent’ Meghan. They call her ‘the most hated woman in the world’. And some say I deserve to be destroyed like Meghan if I continue like this.”
Not tender, therefore. Sarah is afraid that she will not receive any more applications and does not understand why she is being attacked: “I do not understand that people can feel so much hatred for someone they have never met. Amazing.”

Harry and Meghan’s interview to Oprah was discussed last week. But how credible was it really? You can watch it in the video below.
