I didn’t love it for looks.
The historical film “Squadron of Flying Hussars” made the leading actor Andrei Rostotsky a star of Soviet cinema. He played the poet and general Denis Davydov, who became famous during the Patriotic War of 1812.
The personal life of the charming Rostotsky was not easy. He had many novels, but only two women were able to win the heart of the artist.
The first chosen one of Rostotsky was the beautiful actress Marina Yakovleva, whom he met on the set of the film “Squadron of Flying Hussars”. Soon a relationship began between them, which led to marriage. But family life did not work out – the provincial Yakovleva felt out of place in the aristocratic family of Rostotsky. This marriage lasted two years.
The artist left Yakovleva for his neighbor Marianna, who had been in love with him for a long time. After some time, they played a wedding and found long-awaited happiness. But their idyll was destroyed by a terrible tragedy: during the performance of the trick, Rostotsky fell into the abyss from the top of the waterfall. The actor with broken bones and head was taken to the hospital, but it was not possible to save him. He passed away at the age of 45.
