Actress Jiřina Bohdalová has a younger sister, but she doesn’t get to enjoy her too often. Jaruška has been living in Sweden for years, where she arrived under difficult circumstances. But the two ladies are very similar – the well-known artist practically has a younger copy of herself in her sister.
To society Jiřina Bohdalová he doesn’t take his sister out very often. They are separated by hundreds of kilometers, because Jarushkaas the actress tells her younger sister, has been living in Sweden since 1968.
As little girls, they grew up together in Prague’s Vinohrady, and Jiřina often took care of Jaruška, who is twelve years younger. However, due to the influence of the previous political regime, the life of the younger of the Bohdal girls was very complicated.
Because the father of both girls was a businessman, he ended up in a communist prison for six long years. This, of course, tarnished his daughters’ reputation, so Jaruška was kicked out of the language school for this reason. Very soon she realized that she did not have many chances to complete her studies in Czechoslovakia.

Jaroslava Henzelová lives in Sweden.
Jiřina Bohdalová, who at that time was already a well-known actress, naturally tried to help her sister as much as she could. She took her in for a while, and Jaroslava then helped her look after her little daughter Simony. In the end, Bohdalová managed to get her sister a job as a technical draftsman.
Later, Jaruška got married, became Mrs. Henzelová and gave birth to two sons, Dominica a Patrick. However, because her father constantly urged her, she finally decided to emigrate with the whole family in order to ensure a better future for her children.
The couple first lived in Austria for some time, but they did not do well there and suffered from financial shortages. Therefore, they finally moved to Sweden, where they have lived ever since.
It’s hard to make friends in Sweden
Coming to terms with this major life change was very difficult for Jaroslava Henzelová. She even admitted that if her father had not constantly encouraged her to emigrate, she and her husband would probably never have decided to do so.
In addition, she suffered from a feeling of loneliness for a long time in Sweden, because the nature of the people there is very different from the Czech one.
“Establishing true friendship, as we know it at home, takes a long time here. They get to know Czechs and make friends very quickly, but they often make promises that they cannot fulfill. That’s not the case in Sweden. If you already have some friends here, then it’s more permanent,” explained Mrs. Jaroslava.
She likes to return to the Czech Republic
Therefore, whenever she has the opportunity, she likes to visit the Czech Republic. The last time she arrived this spring was on the occasion of Jiřina Bohdalová’s ninety-third birthday. This is how she appeared in society after a long time.
At first glance, it is interesting to note that despite the fact that Jaroslava Henezelová is twelve years younger than her sister, Jiřina Bohdalová is significantly better in terms of fitness.
Mrs. Jaroslava has been suffering from health problems for some time, which cause her problems especially with walking. He therefore moves with the help of an orthopedic walker.
