Members of the “Taliban” movement whipped a woman in Takhar province as punishment for going out shopping without a male escort, Afghan media reported.
And local media reported that Taliban militants appeared in a video clip whipping an Afghan woman, accused of buying basic necessities from a shop without a Muharram’s supply.
Afghan women have been forced to abide by many oppressive laws and rules after the resurgence of the Taliban regime, as Afghan women suffer greatly under the rule of Taliban officials.
According to a movement official, those involved are guilty of “moral offences”, including adultery and theft.
