Look… a woman swings on a silk rope hanging from a hot air balloon in the sky of Spain

Dubai, United Arab Emirates (CNN) – At an altitude of 6,000 feet, Daniela Dragan clings to two silk ropes that have been suspended. In a hot air balloon, perform an unprecedented air show over the city of Manresa, Spain (see video above).

Dragan had watched some aerial show videos in 2016 and was curious to get into this experience herself, especially as she saw the performers so agile and able to make moves with great ease.

In turn, Dragan signed up for rehearsals and fell in love with this art, as I thought it would be very interesting to try the same moves, but in the air.

She signed up for a free fall course in the UK in 2019.

“Aerial dance and skydiving are a passion for me and an important part of my life,” she said in an interview with CNN in Arabic.

After I presented his idea to photographer Timothy Barrant, he liked the idea and immediately accepted, knowing that he has been in the extreme sports photography industry for more than 10 years.

In turn, he discussed with his team on how to technically implement this project, due to the presence of many technical problems.

In general, skydiving from a hot air balloon is not an easy task, especially when someone is hanging from a silk rope at a high altitude, and then skydiving.

Such an adventure required 3 training flights in a balloon.

A full team was on hand to assist with imaging equipment, ropes and emergencies.

And if a dragon gets stuck, a person can go down to the bottom of the balloon and cut one of the silk ropes.

Dragan was not nervous that day, because she had been preparing well for a long time, she was a little worried about her right arm, which hurt from her intense training.

But that didn’t stop her. She made sure to do some stretching before her adventure with her.

He explained: “Every second of this performance was unforgettable … There are no words to describe my feelings, I felt like time had stopped.”

Barant knew he would need cameras with multiple angles, including the drone of Spanish photographer Sergi Hernandez.

“I started dreaming about the shot every day and how can I successfully get it without any problems,” explained Hernandez, in an interview with CNN in Arabic.

When you watch the video above, you can see that a swing for the hot air balloon camera has been installed.

Rock climbing ropes were used to secure the seat to the balloon.

The weather conditions were perfect and Daniela did her job as she had planned for months.

“This is something that professionals do, you don’t try to imitate it without experience,” said Hernandez.
