Chicago Bulls guard Lonzo Ball said he will miss the 2023-24 NBA season, but he feels back on track after undergoing left knee cartilage transplant surgery in March.
Lonzo Ball said in a podcast hosted by Atlanta Hawks star guard Trae Young, “When I first got hurt, I didn’t know what it was. I went to all kinds of doctors. I was always up and down. It’s been tough because I don’t know what the next day will be like; at least now that I’ve had surgery, I have a plan moving forward and it’s been on track, and I’m back on track, hopefully all goes well, I’m going to do my best and give it to God.”
As the No. 2 pick in the 2017 draft, Lonzo Ball has been carrying the expectations of many fans. He signed a four-year $80 million contract with the Chicago Bulls in 2021, but he was unable to fulfill his talents due to injuries. Since January 14, 2022, he has not played in the NBA, but he has undergone 3 operations during this period.
