“Long-time Mayor of Loretto Re-Elected with Overwhelming Majority”

This Sunday, the Lorettois were to elect a new municipal team following the numerous resignations (ten elected out of a total of twenty-seven) which marked the first half of their mandate.

And they therefore chose by a large majority to renew their confidence in the outgoing mayor, Gérard Tardy. Unsurprisingly, he won with 78.4% of the vote (1043 votes), against 21.6% for his rival, Julien Lequeux (288 votes).

Elected since 1989, the unbeatable Gérard Tardy will therefore be able to complete his sixth term, which began in 2020. The sixth and last? In 2026, Gérard Tardy will be 87 years old.
