The new regulation was issued after an amendment to the regulations approved by the cabinet in April 2020. Currently, NIV visa holders in Thailand must be insured for approximately $ 1,300 for outpatient treatment or $ 13,000 for hospital treatment.
The official added that later the Immigration Department will fully disclose the details and formalize the regulation.
