Jan Boskamp did not enjoy the classic between Ajax and Feyenoord. The former footballer saw how the Rotterdammers went down deep in injury time in the Johan Cruijff Arena and he is unhappy about the state of affairs at Feyenoord.
“I didn’t like it,” Boskamp starts a conversation with Sports news. “I found football very moderate. Ajax was aggressive in the duels, but I thought football was moderate. That was not only during this match, but I think that for a long time at Feyenoord. With an occasional outlier in between, but then then will stop. “
According to Boskamp, Ajax won the classic based on fighting spirit. “I believe they won 85% of the duels. That changed when Timber came in,” says the former footballer. “Then football went better, he was stronger at the ball. Even after the game in the interview, he spit his gall.”
Due to the defeat to Ajax, Feyenoord is now twelve points behind the Amsterdammers. “What is happening with us now, that is simply not possible. You can’t lose 24 points from the twenty games,” says Boskamp. “We are – at least we assume that – a top club in the Netherlands. Why is everything gone that is structured?”
