Taiwanese Actress, Charlene An, received bad treatment while on vacation in Bangkok, Thailand. Charlene is blackmailed by unscrupulous Thai police.

Summarized detikcom, Wednesday (1/2/2023), the police officer who extorted Charlene asked for money worth 27,000 Baht or if converted to Rp. 12.2 million. The police officer also threatened that if Charlene did not give the money then Charlene would be charged with committing a crime.

The reason the police officer wanted to indict him was because Charlene’s entourage brought an electric cigarette. In the end Charlene paid 27,000 Baht before being allowed to leave by the police.

Reported Associated Press, the story of the alleged extortion reached the ears of the Thai government. Charlene shared her experience on her social media. Charlene said the incident occurred when she and her friends were traveling by taxi after spending the night in Bangkok on January 5, 2023.

The taxi in which Charlene was traveling was intercepted and searched by police as it passed a checkpoint in the early hours of the morning.
