It is pre-party day at Lowlands 2024. The most important feat of arms is the famous silent disco, for which the festival hands out tens of thousands of headphones. Anyone who wants to get one will have to wait a long time.
At 15:00 Lowlands started handing out headphones. Right from the start there was a big queue, which can take up to an hour.
They are still available, although in previous years there were never enough for everyone. It seems that there are no more silent disco headphones available in the Netherlands for the organization to rent.
The headphones are free, but you do pay a 5 coin deposit. You get that back when you return the headphones. There is also always a lively barter trade on the night itself.
At the silent disco you can listen to countless sing-along hits from 17:00. More in the mood for something else? You can also dance cautiously in India, Bravo and ArmadiLLow, although the volumes there too remain limited due to permit restrictions.
