Nearly 11 years after its cancellation, New York Judicial Police, one of the longest and most popular series of the 90s/2000s, will make its comeback on television. This Sunday, October 22, TMC will indeed broadcast from 9:10 p.m. the first two episodes of season 21 of the flagship series created by Dick Wolf.
In September 2021, the American channel NBC announced that it had ordered an additional season of the legal series, which ended after 20 years of existence on May 24, 2010. A revival which will continue to tell the daily story of “ the police, who investigate crimes, and prosecutors, who prosecute criminals.”
In this new season of New York Judicial Police, also known in France under the title New York District, prosecutor Jack McCoy (Sam Waterston) will once again survey the Manhattan courthouse.
New York detectives and assistant district attorneys will try to solve the most difficult cases, some in the field and others in court.
Alongside Sam Waterston, who takes on the role of Jack McCoy for the occasion, we will also be able to find Anthony Anderson who once again slips into the skin of Inspector Kevin Bernard.
Jeffrey Donovan, seen in Burn Notice, Hugh Dancy (Hannibal), Camryn Manheim (Ghost Whisperer) and Odelya Halevi (Midnight Texas) complete the cast by playing new characters who will lend a hand to the two protagonists.
Launched in 1990 in the United States, and broadcast in France on France 3, 13ème Rue then TF1, New York Police Judiciaire has seen numerous actors such as the late Jerry Orbach but also S. Epatha Merkerson, Alana de la Garza, or even Jeremy Sisto.
