“Lonesome” from Australia: Alone for two

Are you a real cowboy? young Casey (Josh Lavery) is asked at a party. No he is not. Even if he’s pretending with his cowboy hat and demeanor. The young man comes from the deep Australian provinces and hitchhiked to Sydney. Where he only snuck into the party to get something to eat.

Director Craig Boreham finds in his film “Lonesome” beautiful cinema pictures for city and country. He’s not stingy with sex scenes. This does not hide the fact that some things are predictable and also redundant. And yet the film scores with the honest play of its actors.
