Londoners Queue for Monkeypox Vaccine

Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia-Video shows people lining up outside St Guy’s Hospital, London on Saturday (30/7) to receive a monkeypox vaccination.

The vaccine is made by the Bavarian Nordic biotech company which has experience in manufacturing smallpox vaccines. The UK government’s website explains that vaccine supplies are still limited, so that the vaccine is prioritized for health workers who treat patients with monkeypox and those most at risk, including men who have sex with other men with monkeypox.

Government-published statistics say as of July 28, there were 2,546 confirmed cases of monkeypox in the UK.
