Hetzler Automobile Vertriebs GmbH in Kassel is now LEVC’s eighth sales location in Germany. The company will also take over customer service for the Hessian region. This was announced by the German sales office of the English subsidiary of the Chinese Geely group on March 5, 2021.
The dealership with two locations in Kassel and Fritzlar has been selling the Volvo and Hyundai brands to date. The Sweden connection is typical for LEVC dealers, because Volvo is also part of the Geely Group. In addition, the LEVC TX, popularly known as the London Taxi, now only have a battery-electric drive with a three-cylinder petrol engine from Volvo. It steps in when the maximum range of a modest 122 kilometers in city traffic is not enough, and then brings the seven-seater to just under 500 kilometers, measured in accordance with the current WLTP standard.
Because of its simple fold-out ramp, the vehicle can also be called barrier-free. This feature and the battery-electric drive have meanwhile made some friends of the LEVC TX complain, especially among municipal transport companies. At least three taxi and rental car companies in Karlsruhe, Krefeld and Melsungen, about which taxi has already reported today, also operate such models as partners of transport companies in on-demand concepts.
