London: Russia has lost more than a quarter of its combat capabilities in Ukraine

“It is estimated that more than a quarter of these units are now considered non-combat,” the ministry said.

Russia’s most elite units, such as the airborne troops, have suffered the most. “It is expected that it will take years for Russia to regain these forces,” British experts concluded.

The battalion’s tactical group usually has 700-800 soldiers, according to the British security think tank RUSI.

The Ukrainian army headquarters reported on Sunday that the loss of life force of Russian troops in Ukraine had reached about 23,500 soldiers, but Russian officials were reluctant to comment on the loss of their army in Ukraine.
