All employees of London’s Metropolitan Police Force are currently being checked after it was revealed that a serial rapist was active on the force.
According to Rowley, more officers committed crimes against women and girls, including domestic violence and sex crimes. “This is just the tip of the iceberg, but more will surface,” Rowley said.
Rowley referred to another case that made headlines on Tuesday. Then an employee confessed that he had committed sexual offenses at a school against girls between the ages of thirteen and fifteen. For example, he had taken lewd photos of a child and had conversations about sex with another.
The police have apologized for the crimes that have come to light. A verdict is expected on February 6 in the case of the serial rapist.
