A knife attack has occurred in London, which has resulted in a man falling dead.
According to initial reports, two more people were injured.
In particular, a man allegedly attacked a crowd with a knife at East Street Market in London, as the Metropolitan Police said.
The alleged perpetrator is around 60 and was immediately arrested by the authorities at the scene, while he was taken into custody.
The two people who were injured, a man and a woman, were taken to hospital for treatment. Police said they are awaiting an update on their condition.
At the same time, the police officers explained that the incident is not being treated as a terrorist attack, but is related to the mental health of the alleged perpetrator.
Police are not looking for anyone else in connection with the attack, but say their investigation is at an early stage.
Commander Peter Stevens said: “Tragically, a man lost his life this morning and officers are working hard to establish exactly what happened and provide support to his family. My thoughts and sincere condolences are with them and the others injured”, according to the Daily Mail.
