London, Nov 22 (EFE).- The United Kingdom considers the agreement reached between Israel and Hamas “crucial” to address the humanitarian crisis in Gaza, and trusts that it will be fulfilled in its entirety, Foreign Minister David said this Wednesday. Cameron.
“I urge all parties to ensure that the agreement is fully implemented. Of course, we want to see all hostages released immediately and the families affected by the horrors of the October 7 terrorist attack reunited,” said the head of the Foreign Office in a statement after learning of the agreement.
Cameron stressed that the pause in bombing represents an “important opportunity” to ensure that more food, fuel and other vital aid can reach Gaza.
He also recalled that this year the United Kingdom has increased its commitment to aid to the Palestinians and stressed that it will work with the UN to ensure that it reaches those who need it.
“The UK will continue to work with all allies in the region to ensure the release of all hostages, restore security and achieve a long-term political solution that allows Israelis and Palestinians to live in peace,” he added.
More than 240 people were kidnapped by the Hamas terrorist organization in its October 7 attack on Israel, and some 50 captive Israeli children and women are expected to be freed in this first deal for a four-day temporary truce. EFE
