A string of victories Arsenal keep going. The London cannon is now beating Watford 1-0 in continuation Premier League.

Arsenal vs Watford took place at the Emirates Stadium, Sunday (11/7/2021) night WIB. The London cannon dominated in the first half, without a goal until halftime after Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang’s penalty was saved.

The pressure from Arsenal to the Watford defense increased in the second half. The goal was finally created in the 56th minute through Emile Smith Rowe’s shot.

This victory makes Arsenal move up to fifth position with 20 points, only losing on goal difference to West Ham United, fourth-placed. Just behind the Gunners are Manchester United with 17 points and Watford in 17th with 10 points.

Arsenal are unbeaten in their last eight Premier League games after losing three in a row at the start of the match. Of the six wins, two were created with a streak per three matches.

Run of the Game:

Arsenal had scored in the seventh minute through Bukayo Saka. A VAR review annulled the goal, which declared Saka in an offside position when he snatched the ball from Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, as Nicolas Nkoulou was the last man in the Watford defense despite Ben Foster’s exit.

Arsenal were able to penetrate the Watford penalty box several times through short passes. The moment ended without a goal as the Watford defenders quickly made a tackle before the ball was shot by an Arsenal player.

Until the game runs for half an hour, Watford have not been able to let go of the experiment. The team’s efforts made by Claudio Ranieri through counter-attacks ran aground several times when entering the final third of Arsenal’s defense.

Arsenal were awarded a penalty in the 36th minute after Danny Rose hit Alexandre Lacazette. Aumabeyang stepped up as the executor, but his shot was parried by Ben Foster.

Arsenal can finally lead 1-0 in the 56th minute. Ben White tried to penetrate into the penalty box, but was blocked by opposing players and a wild ball was grabbed by Emile Smith Rowe, who slid into the bottom left corner of Foster’s goal.

Arsenal had scored again. The referee again annulled it because Aubameyang was in an offside position when he poked the ball in front of the goal mouth.

Arsenal attack wave continues to increase. Several shots were fired, but none were on target.

Watford even had time to almost equalize the score in the 85th minute. Joshua King managed to capitalize on a miscoordination of Arsenal’s backline and darted past Ramsdale out of the box to shoot from a tight angle, but the ball still hit the outside of the net.

Watford had to play with 10 men in the 89th minute. Juraj Kucka was given a second yellow card after violating Nuno Tavarez.

There are no additional goals on the side of time. Arsenal also won with a score of 1-0.
