The ondoners are ready to dive in, as Storm Wanda is set to batter the capital with rain and drizzle for the next few days.

It comes as the Met Office has issued flood warnings in parts of the UK as the remnants of the tropical storm arrive from the Atlantic.

Annie Shuttleworth, forecaster at the Met Office, said: “There will be a cold start Monday morning for London and much of the UK, we will see sunny spells but skies will be cloudy in the afternoon.

“It will be cloudy overnight, Tuesday will be milder at first, but then we could see some light rain and some drizzle in the late afternoon and into the evening. On Wednesday there will be more rain and an erratic and cloudy morning and a brighter afternoon.

The Met Office warned that Storm Wanda “could cause rain in some places and potentially some weather warnings.” However, he adds that “the timing and follow-up of the system are still uncertain.”

He added: “There has been some speculation about the impact, if any, that Tropical Storm Wanda may have on the weather here in the UK. Tropical Storm Wanda is currently over the mid-Atlantic Ocean and will move northeast over the weekend.

“Wanda is expected to weaken into a non-tropical feature on Sunday night, and what is left of this storm will embed itself within a larger Atlantic front zone. This frontal zone moves across the UK on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.

The capital will experience highs of 13 ° C on Monday and mercury will drop to 6 ° C at night. Tuesday will see highs of 15 ° C and lows of 8 ° C, with a wet and uneven Wednesday bringing highs of 14 ° C and lows of 6 ° C.

Londoners were forced to travel in puffy jackets as the capital experienced three days of heavy rain and yellow weather warnings.
