The alarm was sounded on Sunday (10/11) in London, as a man died and three people were stabbed in a market in the English capital.
The Metropolitan Police say three people were attacked this morning at East Street Market, off Walworth Road in south London.
A man, believed to be in his 60s, was arrested at the scene and taken into custody.
The incident is mental health related and authorities have confirmed it is not being treated as terrorism.
Chief Constable Peter Stevens said: “Tragically, a man lost his life this morning and officers are working hard to establish exactly what happened and provide support to his family. My thoughts and sincere condolences are with them and the others injured.”
