Latvian basketball player Rihards Lomažs scored 16 points in the game of the Turkish championship on Sunday, when he celebrated the victory of Denizli’s Yukatel Merkezefend team. The Denizli team beat Izmir’s “Petkim Spor” with a result of 89:70 (16:13, 24:20, 14:17, 35:20).
The lead was 29 minutes and 19 seconds, during which he scored 16 points in five of the eight two-point shots, two of the six long shots and missed the only free throw. He also won two rebounds, scored twice, intercepted one pass, lost twice, earned two personal notes and ended the game with an efficiency factor of 11.
Kevin Lukass was the winner with 17 points and 11 assists. Sinan Slamlam and Peiton James Oldridge stood out in the Izmir team with 17 points.
The unit represented by the Latvian basketball player in the tournament table with five victories in 14 matches ranks 12th in the competition of 16 teams. Lomažs moved to the Turkish championship after months of successful last season in the German Bundesliga.
