We lost 29 points in the extra time in the lost Turkish championship game
Istanbul, May 6, LETA. Latvian basketball player Rihards Lomažs scored 29 points in the Turkish championship game in Istanbul on Friday, but Denizli’s “Yukatel Merkezefendi” team lost in the away field.
Denizli’s basketball players gave way to Istanbul’s “Bahcešehir Koleji” with 95:101 (16:26, 30:19, 20:23, 24:22, 5:11).
Lomažs was on the field for 36 minutes and one second, taking the only two-point shot and six of the 11 long shots, as well as nine of the ten free throws.
He also fought two rebounds, scored six assists, intercepted one opponent’s pass, made five mistakes, prematurely finished with five personal notes and finished the game with the second highest efficiency 27.
Lomažs was the most productive among the guests, but Muhammad Baigil scored 29 points in the Istanbul team.
The Denizli team is ranked 13th in the tournament table with eight wins and 22 failures, while the Istanbul team is third with 30 successes in 30 matches.
Lomažs moved to the Turkish championship after months of successful last season in the German Bundesliga.
