In four seasons and another derivative – LOL: whoever shouts comes out!where the candidates had to neither laugh nor shout – the program has established itself as one of the platform’s flagship games in France. Gérard Darmon, Pierre Niney, Jonathan Cohen, Marina Foïs and even Adèle Exarchopoulos took turns and used their best repartee to make their opponents and the viewers laugh. Building on this success, Prime Video made the decision to offer a completely new format, derived from the basic one. A LOL: Who laughs, comes out!… life size!

In short: a new celebrity cast will compete in public places and will have to make onlookers laugh. Baptized LOL IRL (In real life), the production intends to play on the surprise effect and unknowingly involve anonymous people who will not be aware of anything. No city has yet been communicated by production, but, according to the Amazon Prime Video press release, the targets will be found in supermarkets as well as in cinemas, airports and even museums.

New concept, new rules!
In the original program, some contestants shone with their creativity when it came to jokes, while others impressed with their ability to remain impassive. One last attitude which will not be able to pass in this LOL IRL. Indeed, to avoid any passivity in the game and advance far in the game thanks to this simple ability, a brand new point and ranking system has been put in place. In short, the more you make the anonymous and other members of the celebrity cast laugh, the more points you earn. With each laugh triggered, jackpot. After six hours of play, the count is done and the two leading candidates find themselves qualified for a grand final, the details of which have not yet been revealed by the platform.
