In his second championship as head coach in the LCS, Brazilian Gabriel “Turtle” guided Evil Geniuses (EG) to the League of Legends from North America. In the final of the LCS Spring 2022, played this Sunday, EG defeated 100 Thieves 3-0 and won the first tournament title in the history of the North American organization.

This is Turtle’s second tournament serving as the team’s head coach. The Brazilian had already managed to reach the second place in the LCS Lock In 2022, a short competition that opened the competitive season of LoL in North America. In 2021, Turtle was already part of the team’s technical committee, acting as a strategic analyst. Prior to the title, EG had never managed to get past 3rd in the LCS.
