Riot was asked when the issue would be resolved, here’s the answer!
The day when League of Legends enters a new era is getting closer. With the start of the 2024 ranked season, the Summoners’ Gorge will be transformed, the individual jungle monsters will change, and the mythical objects can be said goodbye again for the time being. Lots of changes are needed to keep the game fresh and exciting. The community and Riot Games know this, but there is one area where the two camps cannot find common ground. When the developers reworked the middle lane and the river, they accidentally or intentionally left a problem in LoL that, although not so spectacular, is present in every match.

It’s over Gangplank, you’re beat! You underestimate my strength Twisted Fate!
Somehow, “I have the high ground” doesn’t sound so good in Hungarian, but I think the main point can still be understood that way. Something similar happened in Rift, as there are points on the track that are not at the same height. Due to the gratuitous 3D, you have to aim from the bottom up and top down with the abilities.
This means that in a hidden way, certain points are actually located deeper than those around them. Riot Games knows exactly about this matter, however Phroxzon according to the lead developer it would cost so much to correct this, that they would rather not even deal with it. Riot Games is working with the biggest budget ever in 2023, but still doesn’t have enough resources to eradicate this bug that has been frustrating summoners for years.
“It’s much harder to eliminate height differences than you think” Phroxzon insisted.
