At Lohmann’s Neuwied location, there was reason to be happy last Friday, March 12th, 2021: in a small ceremony in the open air, the traditional company received the silver status as a “healthy company”.
Neuwied. The award, which has been awarded by the AOK Rheinland-Pfalz / Saarland health insurance company and TÜV Saarland since 2008, offers companies a neutral assessment and nationwide uniform certification for their occupational health management (BGM for short) and thus proof of continuous and sustainable improvement processes in the area of health.
?? The health of our employees is the top priority, especially during this time ?? and has guided us more than ever in our decisions over the past few months. For us, this topic is not just an important corporate value that is intended to ensure performance. We want our employees to stay healthy and satisfied. This is what we are committed to as a company? and I personally! ?? very much ??, says Dr. Jörg Pohlman, Lohmann’s managing partner, at the official handover of the certificate in front of the TEC-Center Neuwied. AOK regional manager Thomas Stahl is also pleased about this commitment and the cooperation with Lohmann: ?? We are happy to make a small contribution to employee satisfaction and support companies on this path, which of course also helps to attract and retain qualified employees !?
Certification as a “healthy company” can be made in bronze, silver or gold standard, with seven categories being put to the test: Integration of company health and social management in company policy, systematic implementation, promotion of health and health potential, employee participation, personnel management, reporting and occupational health and safety . Alexandra Block, previous AOK contact person for health management at Lohmann, particularly emphasizes the company’s very good level in the areas of occupational safety / occupational safety and promoting the health of employees: ?? Lohmann offers a wide range of services that are not only accepted but also is supported by the management and supervisors ?? and there have been significant improvements in all areas since the bronze certification in 2016!
In cooperation with the AOK Rhineland-Palatinate, Lohmanns BGM offers, among other things, regular workshops on health at work, cooking courses and health measurements. The BGM team also organizes anti-stress massages and sports groups (yoga, badminton, climbing and much more) with various providers. In 2020, the Neuwied Bonding Engineers also launched a blood donation campaign for the first time with the DRK Blood Donation Service West, which will be repeated regularly in the future.
