Personal record again! Climber Adam Ondra improved his maximum again in the Olympic final in the speed discipline.
Despite an improved personal maximum, Ondra lost to the winner of the qualification, the Frenchman Mickaël Maw. The speed was controlled by the Spaniard Alberto Ginés in front of the home favorite Tomo Narasaki.
Twenty-eight-year-old Ondra, who finished fifth in qualifying, had to face Frenchman Bassa Maw at the start of the elimination round. However, the speed specialist and the holder of the fastest Olympic time tore his biceps at the end of the qualification and did not enter the final.

Nevertheless, the Czech Republic radiated great satisfaction.

In both disciplines, Ondra has become world champion in the past. The overall winner will be the competitor with the lowest product of all three places.
