Logitech has partnered with Tencent.
Will there be support for more than Xbox and GeForce Now?
The company has announced that later this year they will launch a handheld game console that can connect to Xbox Cloud Gaming and GeForce Now.
The press release states that a number of cloud services are supported, including the two from Microsoft and Nvidia – perhaps that’s why it will get support for more. Tencent takes care of the software services.
None of the companies wanted to reveal anything more than this, and there are no pictures of the product.
So far, we have nothing but quotes from the two parties:
Logitech G’s leadership in PC and console gaming equipment makes them an ideal partner to help us realize our vision of bringing a better gaming experience to gamers around the world. Today marks the start of a new opportunity for our companies to further push the boundaries of gaming devices.
Daniel Wu, General Manager, Tencent Games Smart Solution Innovation Lab
As one of the leading global platforms for game development, publishing and operations, Tencent Games has been at the forefront of innovation, which is why we partnered with them. As someone who grew up playing video games, the idea of being able to stream and play AAA games almost anywhere is very exciting, and we can’t wait to show everyone what we’ve been working on.
