The port of Strasbourg intends to commit up to 200 million euros in investments over the next ten years, a large part of which will be spent on the development of the southern terminal. On its Strasbourg site, the port has two terminals (which manage several other Rhine sites including Lauterbourg). They are managed by the subsidiary Rhine Europe Terminals (RET) and the older one, in the south, is not effectively connected to the rail network at the moment.
