Logan Hutsko can leave MoDo: “That possibility exists”

Logan Hutsko has flopped in MoDo Hockey.
The forward is now out of the team – and may then be about to leave the club.
– It is clear that it is not optimal neither for us nor for him, says coach Mattias Karlin Örnsköldsvik’s Allehanda.

In December, Logan Hutsko agreed to leave Oskarshamn and he then signed for MoDo Hockey instead.

However, there has been no lift for Hutsko in MoDo, but he has gone scoreless from all 15 games in the club. Recently, the American has been completely out of the team and has both sat in the stands and then been benched. He hasn’t gotten any ice time at all in the last three games.

– He was on his way towards Färjestad, but then a lot of other things got in the way. It’s clear that it’s not optimal either for us or him, that’s the way it is. It is as it is right now, says coach Mattias Karlin Örnsköldsvik’s Allehanda.

Logan Hutsko is said to be on his way away from MoDo

Then Hutsko is said to be on his way away from MoDo. According to sports director Henrik Gradin, the 24-year-old’s situation is such that he is the 13th forward but is not on his way out at the moment. However, he believes that the flop could leave before the February 15 deadline.

– That possibility exists because he is not too happy about not being able to play, says Gradin.

Logan Hutsko however, needs to find a new club if he is to be released by MoDo. What complicates the situation is that he is not reported to be interested in playing in the HockeyAllsvenskan. Thus, it would be most likely that a solution needs to come from another league out in Europe.

– He has a contract that expires at the end of April, that’s what I can say, says agent Jacob Hedin to ÖA and continues:
– Logan is a super professional and he works hard every day to show the coaches that he should play more.

Hutsko has played 35 games in the SHL for Oskarshamn and MoDo but only scored seven points (3+4).
