Al-Marsad newspaper: An immunology specialist has revealed that “locusts” are more beneficial than fish and beef.
He said during his talk with Gulf Rotana’s “Yahla” program, “Every food has its value, and the rest cannot be denied, and there are types of insects like locusts whose nutritional value is higher to meat and fish, and this is scientifically and medically proven.”
He pointed out that the percentage of protein in locusts is higher than that of cows and fish, as it contains vitamin B12, and is rich in dietary fiber and mineral salts.
He pointed out that locusts can be eaten grilled, cooked or dried and placed in baked goods or potato chips.
