Pedro Luis Forero, medical examiner who worked for 13 years at the Legal Medicine headquarters in Bucaramanga, in Colombia, died as a result of coronavirus The Covid-19.
The 52-year-old doctor lived for 12 days in the critical patients ward of the Cardiovascular Foundation, however he could not win against Covid-19.
The institution’s spokesperson said: “He deteriorated to a point where he required a special therapy called ECMO, which is an artificial lung that is put in patients who do not respond to mechanical ventilation; We gave him that therapy and brought him here ”.
After his death, this case worries Legal Medicine staff, because of the way in which they believe he was infected with coronavirus or Covid-19.
