Lockdown in Poland does not plan to introduce the country’s authorities

The Polish authorities do not plan to introduce a lockdown in the country, despite the increase in the incidence of coronavirus. Among the reasons, Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki called the protests of those dissatisfied with such measures, which leads to an increase in the number of infected.

According to him, Morawiecki made this statement during a visit to a hospital in Wroclaw. The prime minister noted that the country’s government is considering various measures to limit the spread of the coronavirus. However, according to him, the tightening of quarantine is not on the agenda.

“We are not considering a lockdown,” said Morawiecki.

The head of government added that watching the massive protests in other countries where the lockdown was introduced, it was concluded that such restrictions only lead to an increase in the incidence of coronavirus.

“Therefore, we are trying to find a middle ground, a better solution,” the prime minister stressed, adding that the government is betting on vaccinations against infection and expanding places for patients in hospitals.
