Local urban plan in Bordeaux: consultations continue

We told you about it a month ago, the City of Bordeaux had launched a citizen participation process around its Local Urban Planning Plan (PLU). The workshops took place, now everyone can read the resulting document and give their opinion. Here are the next dates to remember to mobilize.

Bordeaux Métropole has indeed decided to launch the 11e modification of the Local Urban Plan. Its goal ? Respond to current territorial challenges such as economic development, the construction of housing, the development of alternative means of transport and the preservation of biodiversity in urban spaces. Presented as a strategic tool, the PLU “will have to integrate all the public policies undertaken and be the subject of a public consultation to be held from April 26 to June 14, 2021.” explains Bordeaux Métropole in a press release.

A consultation that will take place in different formats

The PLU document is available on the Bordeaux Métropole participation website. You will be able to read it and give your opinion. For Bordeaux Métropole, “the objectives of this consultation are to inform and make residents aware of these different issues, but as a priority, collect their contributions in order to co-construct an urban planning document in line with the expectations of the inhabitants of the Metropolis. Bordeaux. From April 26, a questionnaire will be available in digital format, still on the Bordeaux Métropole participation site and in the 28 town halls in paper format. Then, a public videoconference meeting is scheduled for May 10, 2021 (upon registration). There will also be participatory videoconference workshops upon registration on May 19 and 1is June. Paper registers will be available in the town halls of the 28 municipalities as well as in Bordeaux Métropole (Laure Gatet building) The approval of the PLU modification procedure should take place at the end of 2022 / beginning of 2023. There is therefore still a long way to go.
