Thanks to their first win in the second half of the season, a 21:12 at the penultimate table RG Hausen-Zell, KSV Hofstetten are eight points clear of the relegation zone with four more matches to go.
With a great fighting performance, KSV Hofstetten won the regional wrestling championship in the penultimate table RG Hausen-Zell with 21:12 and with now 14:14 points they practically secured the championship prematurely. The team of KSV coaches Mario Allgaier, Manuel Krämer and Dieter Lehmann now has an eight-point lead over newcomer TSV Ehningen with only four games left.
The fight in Hausen-Zell gave cause for celebration, because the way KSV performed in Wiesental deserves special praise. At half time, the Kinzig Valleys almost sensationally led with 19:0, including a crushing shoulder victory by Julian Neumaier in a freestyle unusual for him against Darius Kiefer, who is actually not a bad heavyweight.
19:0 lead during the break
But the Greek specialist Andrea Martino took the start, beating Darwish Mahmodi, used to winning (albeit in freestyle), with 9:0 points. That was the start Hofstetten had wanted, and one that the hosts didn’t like at all after the substitution. Since Dario Dittrich then undid his bag of tricks against Luca Zeh and sent him for a shower at the start of the first round, KSV led 11:0. Also worth seeing are the two fourth places of former world vice-champion Patrick Neumaier against the uncomfortable Maximilian Mond, then defeated after just two minutes. Dominik Wölfle clarified everything against Till Naumann shortly before the break – the fourth four out of five duels so far. Sven Kiefer’s team, which always triumphs after the break, barely managed to correct this deficit of 0:19 points. Even the hosts, who had to do without Patrick Sutter, no longer wanted to believe it.

And since Florian Wölfle only lost 9-0 against Adrian Recorean, Hausen-Zell only managed to equalize. As expected, Ivan Guidea narrowed the lead against Marius Allgaier to 7:19, but in the following duel Elias Allgaier cleared everything up for the KSV with his 7:1 victory over Luke Nann. Then Alexandru Solomon’s four against Jan Allgaier was just for statistics. In the final duel, Claudio Wernet surprised in line with the very good overall performance of Hofstetter against Lucaöpfer, who only lost to the landlord with 1:2 points due to the passivity rule.
For the next home match against the latest KSV Rheinfelden everything is done and the champagne in the community hall is cold.
