Elections, whatever they are, are always an opportunity for activists to put their cause up for debate.
This Saturday, the associations of residents of Lyon-Bron airport united to send a letter to the candidates of the 7th, 13th and 14th districts of the Rhône for the legislative elections of 2022.
“In the East of Lyon, where you are, the inhabitants are daily subjected to a particularly high level of noise pollution generated by the aeronautical activity of the aerodrome of Bron“, they begin.
“The aerodrome’s ‘environmental charter’ has made it possible to obtain limitations relating to runway laps (pilot training exercises) which expose the residents closest to the runways to intense and continuous nuisances and the implementation of a tool for recording movements around the aerodrome“, they note while deploring that this charter, although they have contributed to it, is not effective enough.
MARIBA, LUCONA, AILF, the CIL Beauregard Champs Blancs Décines Charpieu and the association Ribaud Roberdières Chassieu therefore ask whether the candidates intend to support local initiatives and plead for the reduction of noise pollution from aircraft flying at the national level.
