Jakarta – Central Jakarta Metro Police arrested a private television director. The director of a private television was arrested in connection with the alleged spread of hoax news and SARA content.
“What was arrested was the director of local television, not national television,” said Central Jakarta Metro Police Chief Kombes Hengki Haryadi when contacted by tvonenews.com, Thursday (14/10/2021).
He said that the TV director was arrested in East Java a few days ago. In addition to the director of the private television, there were 2 other people who were arrested by the police.
Hengki has not explained further regarding the identity and chronology of the TV director’s arrest. However, according to him, the TV director often spreads hoax and SARA content that has the potential to divide national unity.
Hengki added that the TV director often spreads hoax information through social media. “Anyway, he spreads the link everywhere,” he said.
