The Local Police of Valencia has intervened more than a thousand counterfeit products that imitated the Pokemon and Funko Pop brands in stores located in Nuevo Centro, Benicalap and Extramurs.
On the occasion of the Christmas Campaign and in order to guarantee the safety of buyers, several patrols carried out a control of unauthorized sales with special attention to the sale of counterfeit products in businesses in the city.
The agents went to the establishments accompanied by a Commercial Judicial Appraisal Expert from the Spanish Association of Judicial Appraisal Experts. The keys that allowed them to identify that they were counterfeit products were problems with labeling, the lack of valid references or that the shapes and colors of the dolls did not match the original models.
Between the three sales points, a total of: 221 boxes of “Funko Pop” figures, 128 “Pokemon” keychains, 15 “Mini-Funko Pop” keychains, 244 “Pokemon” card envelopes, 45 metal boxes with the inscription “Pokemon” (50 cards in each), 143 “Pokemon” card packs, 122 envelopes containing a “Pokemon” toy figure, 16 “Pokemon” posters, 4 “Pokemon” advent calendars, 35 “Pokemon” cards and 13 boxes of “UNNO” cards.
